Following a temporary placement at a skilled nursing facility, he was moved to an excellent smaller care home close to his wife. He had his loving family supervising and his friends doing window and patio visits for his safety. He passed away on April 29, 2021, at the age of 75.
As cruel as Alzheimer’s disease is, Johnny still had that warm smile and sparkle in his eyes.
Johnny is survived by his wife Charlotte and his two stepdaughters, Brenda and Jamie; his sister Nance, her children Patti, Kathie, Shawna, singer/songwriter Brian Hogan, and tenor James Kirkland; brother Bobby and his three children.
